This post serves as an opportunity for you to delve deeper and gain insight into the life and personality of the woman who hides behind the screen. Hi I'm Chantelle.

I encourage you to take a moment to settle in. Perhaps you’d like to brew a steaming cup of your favourite coffee and maybe even indulge in a delightful snack while you read.

So, as you sip your coffee and enjoy your snack, let’s embark on this journey together. I invite you to read on about the woman behind the computer screen, as I take you through the myriad of elements that make me who I am today.

  1. Autumn/ Fall is my favourite season.

I will never understand why autumn isn't everyone's favorite season. For me, the transition from the sweltering heat of summer to the refreshing chill of autumn is a welcome change that brings a sense of comfort and coziness. The colder weather invites the opportunity to pull out my favorite big jumpers, which are not only warm but also provide a sense of nostalgia and familiarity. There’s something incredibly satisfying about wrapping myself in a soft, oversized sweater as the temperatures drop.

As the leaves begin to change color, painting the landscape in vibrant hues of orange, red, and gold, I can't help but feel a sense of wonder at the beauty of nature. This seasonal transformation encourages me to slow down and appreciate the world around me. The crisp air is invigorating, making it the perfect time to indulge in hot drinks like spiced apple cider or pumpkin-flavored lattes. Sipping on these warm beverages while feeling the cool breeze on my face creates a delightful contrast that is hard to beat.

Additionally, the idea of curling up under a cozy blanket with a good book or a classic movie is one of the greatest pleasures that autumn offers. The ambiance created by the crackling of the fire adds an extra layer of warmth and tranquility to the experience. The flickering flames provide a soothing backdrop as I immerse myself in captivating stories, whether they be heartwarming films or thrilling novels.

Moreover, autumn is a wonderful time for outdoor activities. Going out for walks while bundled up in layers allows me to enjoy the fresh air and the stunning scenery without the discomfort of summer's heat. The sound of leaves crunching underfoot and the sight of trees shedding their foliage creates a magical atmosphere that makes every stroll feel special.

  2. I hate fish but I love sushi.

While I enjoy some seafood, my preference is limited to a few options, notably sushi. Sushi stands out due to its delicate presentation, intricate preparation, and the artistry involved, offering a unique culinary experience. The variety of sushi types, such as nigiri, sashimi, and maki, provides diverse tastes and textures, enhancing the dining adventure. The cultural significance and craftsmanship of sushi add to its appeal, making it more than just a meal. Compared to a simple grilled salmon with parsley sauce, sushi offers more excitement and complexity, engaging all the senses and capturing my imagination.

  3. I love Christmas but I hate the snow.

I love Christmas; I love everything about it. Christmas is one of those holidays that holds my most cherished memories, filled with warmth, joy, and a sense of togetherness that is hard to replicate. When I was younger, my dad would always work on Christmas Day, which was a bittersweet reality. I can’t blame him, though; earning triple time is definitely not something to pass up, especially during the festive season when expenses tend to rise. Despite his absence on that particular day, I never spent those precious moments alone. I would always make my way up to my grandma’s house, and she had a remarkable talent for making this magical time of year feel even more special. We would share laughter and would create new memories that I hold dear to my heart.

However, despite my love for the Christmas season, I must admit that I have a strong dislike for snow. If I were rich and didn’t have to leave the house, I could see myself enjoying the snow from the comfort of my warm living room, sitting by the window with a cup of hot cocoa, watching the snowflakes gently fall and blanket the world in white. It’s a breathtaking sight, and the way the snow glistens under the streetlights can be nothing short of magical. Unfortunately, my experiences with snow have always been marred by accidents; every year, without fail, I have slipped and fallen when the snow arrives. While snow is undeniably beautiful, living in the UK, we often find that our snow doesn’t stick around for long. It tends to turn to slush and ice very quickly, creating treacherous conditions that make it difficult to navigate. The fleeting nature of our winter wonderland is a constant reminder that while the beauty of snow is captivating, the reality of living with it can be quite challenging.

  4. I have a German Shepherd cross Staffordshire bull terrier.

I've had the immense pleasure of sharing my life with this beautiful dog for most of my adult life, loving him beyond words. He's not just a pet; he's my companion, confidant, and source of joy and laughter. Resembling a small German Shepherd, his strong build and glossy black and tan coat highlight his unique heritage. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier in him is evident in his head tilts and brindle leg markings, reflecting his diverse lineage and charming personality.

As he ages, he defies expectations with boundless energy, chasing balls and playing with vigor. Despite signs of aging, like a graying muzzle and occasional stiffness, his resilience inspires me. Our bond has deepened, and I cherish every moment together, whether walking, snuggling, or enjoying quiet companionship. He enriches my life with unconditional love and unwavering support, not just as a dog but as a cherished family member. I'm grateful for every day we share.

  5. I'm 31 years old.

Having just turned 31, I reflect on my life and the transition into my thirties, which brings nostalgia and maturity. The rapid shifts in Gen Z's perspectives and trends sometimes make me feel old, as their experiences shaped by technology and social media differ from mine. This feeling is a natural part of aging, highlighting the beauty of societal change and growth. Embracing aging allows for deeper self-understanding and appreciation of the wisdom it brings.

  6. I love to have my nails done.

I love getting my nails done, from choosing the perfect shade to seeing the final result. The salon's delightful scents and soothing music create a welcoming atmosphere. Though not the most feminine, a manicure lets me embrace a vibrant, expressive side of myself.

Sitting in the salon chair, I’m surrounded by colourful polishes, each glimmering under soft lights. The selection process is exhilarating as I ponder shades reflecting my mood and personality, whether classic red, trendy nude, or adventurous glittery teal.

On Pinterest, I find endless nail art inspiration, from minimalist to bold designs, sparking my creativity and desire to experiment. Whether chic French tips or playful embellishments, I’m inspired to express individuality through my nails.

Getting my nails done is more than aesthetics; it’s about self-love, self-expression and creativity. It’s a cherished break from daily life, leaving me refreshed, confident, and ready to face the world with beautifully manicured nails.

  7. I was raised by a single dad.

Being raised by a single dad may sound kind of sad at first glance, especially considering the absence of my mother during my formative years. However, the reality of my upbringing is far from bleak. My dad is an incredible man who took on the monumental challenge of being both parents for me. He has always been a source of strength, love, and guidance, embodying the qualities of a nurturing father while also stepping into the role of a mother figure whenever necessary. His dedication to my well-being and happiness has shaped me into the person I am today.

In addition to my dad's unwavering support, I was fortunate to have the presence of his sister and mother, who provided me with the kind of maternal love and care that I might have otherwise missed. They filled my life with warmth, wisdom, and encouragement, creating a nurturing environment that helped me thrive. Their influence was profound, offering me insights into femininity and compassion that complemented my father's teachings.

So while I may not have had my mother physically present in my life, I was blessed with an abundance of amazing people who stepped in to fill that void. Their collective love and support have been a guiding light, proving that family isn't solely defined by traditional structures but rather by the connections we cultivate and the love we share. My upbringing, though unconventional, has taught me the importance of resilience, community, and the many forms that love can take.

  8. I hate being over heated.

I can't express how much I absolutely detest the feeling of being overheated. It is an uncomfortable and frustrating experience that I endure, especially during the summer months, when the temperatures rise and the humidity often becomes unbearable. Growing up in the UK, I can say that our summers are notoriously dreadful for those of us who struggle with heat. While it is true that we do not experience an abundance of hot days like some other countries, the few that we do have can be excruciatingly oppressive.

During these rare heatwaves, the discomfort begins to creep in from the moment I wake up. The oppressive heat seems to cling to my skin, making even the simplest of tasks feel laborious. I find myself tossing and turning at night, unable to find a comfortable position due to the relentless warmth that envelops me. The air feels thick and stifling, making it nearly impossible to drift off into a peaceful slumber.

When daytime arrives, the struggle continues. I often find myself sitting around in my underwear, desperately trying to cool down, as the heat radiates from my skin. Fans whir loudly in the background, but they seem to provide little relief, merely circulating the warm air rather than alleviating my discomfort. I feel as though I am on the verge of combustion, with every passing minute becoming more and more unbearable.

The heat impacts not only my physical comfort but also my mood and mental state. I become irritable and restless, longing for the cooler days of autumn when I can finally breathe easily again. The fleeting moments of sunshine that many people cherish become a source of dread for me, as I anticipate the sweat-soaked days ahead. The struggle against the heat is a constant battle, and I often find myself daydreaming about the cooler climates of northern regions or even the refreshing chill of winter.

In conclusion, the experience of being overheated during the summer months in the UK is one that I wish I could avoid altogether. The combination of sleepless nights, uncomfortable days, and the longing for relief creates a cycle of discomfort that feels never-ending.

  9. I have a fiancé, who is the love of my life, who I met on tinder.

I met my fiancé three years ago on Tinder, no less, and from the very first moment we crossed paths, I knew there was something incredibly special about him. It was as if fate had intervened, bringing two souls together in a world where connections can often feel fleeting and superficial. He is truly an amazing man, possessing a kindness that radiates in everything he does. His generosity and compassion toward others are qualities that I deeply admire, and they have drawn me to him in ways I never expected. From our initial conversations to our first date, I could sense a warmth in him that instantly put me at ease and made me feel like I had known him for much longer than just a few hours. I often find myself reflecting on how fortunate I am to have found someone who embodies such warmth and understanding, qualities that are increasingly rare in today’s fast-paced society.

When he proposed, it felt like the most natural thing in the world to say yes. The moment was filled with love and joy, and I couldn't have responded faster. It was as if time stood still, and everything around us faded away, leaving just the two of us in that beautiful moment. I remember the way he looked at me, with such sincerity and hope in his eyes, and I felt an overwhelming sense of happiness wash over me, a feeling that I can only describe as pure bliss. The setting was perfect, adding to the magic of the occasion, and every detail seemed to align to create a memory that I will cherish forever. There was a sense of certainty in my heart that this was the right decision, and I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.

Most people find it hard to find someone on Tinder, and like everyone who has struggled to find someone, I also felt like I wouldn't find the right person. I had my share of awkward dates and disappointing encounters, which often left me questioning whether true love was out there for me. Until the day I met him, I was beginning to lose hope. However, when our paths finally crossed, everything changed. It was as if the universe had conspired to bring us together, and suddenly, the struggles of the past faded into insignificance. I realized that sometimes, the right person can emerge from the most unexpected places, and I am eternally grateful for that serendipitous encounter.

I truly believe I got one of the good ones, ladies and gentlemen. His unwavering support and encouragement have been a constant source of strength for me, and I am excited about the future we are building together. Every day, I discover new reasons to love him even more. His ability to make me laugh, his thoughtful gestures, and the way he listens to me with genuine interest all contribute to the deep bond we share. Whether it’s sharing silly inside jokes or having deep, meaningful conversations late into the night, every moment spent together reinforces my belief that we are meant to be. I feel incredibly lucky to have him by my side as we embark on this journey toward marriage, and I look forward to all the adventures that await us. Together, we are creating a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.

  10. Music, movies and TV shows are one of my biggest passions.

Ever since I was young, I've had a passion for music, movies, and TV shows. I was raised on a diverse range of music genres, influenced by my cousins, dad, aunt, and grandma. From country to rock, R&B to heavy metal, I enjoy all these different styles.

As a child, one of my favourite activities was watching movies and classic TV shows with my dad. I eventually grew up to explore new shows as they were released, discovering ones I love. From an old UK classic like Porridge to Gilmore Girls and Suits, I enjoy a good binge-watching day of my favorite series.

Whether it's movies like Star Wars and classic cartoons, or action and comedies, I often associate films with memories I've created with loved ones.
